exciting news, DIRC is expanding!
We have begun our DIRC expansion into Pollak Library South 170. This space will be home to the Women's Resource Center, the upcoming SWANA Resource Center, and the Native and Indigenous Resource Center that is under development. DIRC 170 is open Monday through Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm.
DIRC's mission
Diversity Initiatives & Resource Centers (DIRC) supports students by building communities that foster a sense of belonging, creating opportunities to engage in self-discovery and critical inquiry, and serving as a hub for resources in inclusive and affirming spaces. We create engagement opportunities that empower, educate, and activate students in the areas of social justice, equity, and anti-racism.
OUR CENTERS
DIRC is home to six identity-based resource centers, with two more coming soon. Each center offers students an inclusive space to be their authentic selves, co-curricular engagement opportunities for students to develop deeper understanding of their identities and those of others, as well as resources to support their academic and personal success. Students of all identities are welcome in all of our spaces.
Southwest Asian and North African (SWANA) and Native American and Indigenous (NAI) Resource Centers coming soon!
